GETTING STARTED
Start your project by deciding if your album will be a timeline or a family line.
Timelines are strictly chronological. If you choose chronological, you will be able to mix many unrelated family units together and capture a variety of memories in a single album. Chronological is suggested if you have a limited number of heritage photos and/or memorabilia available.
If you choose a family line album, you will be able to expand on individual family members and family units. For example, within your family you may choose a separate maternal family album and paternal family album.
Once you've decided on a strategy, you'll want to consider purchasing the File Mate Organiser and File Mate Folders for sorting and preparing your materials. Label your folders by decade for a timeline album. Label your folders by family units for a family line album.
If your family has one-of-a-kind photos and memorabilia, consider making duplicates. Creative Memories offers Inkjet Photo Paper and Laser & Photocopy Paper for your digital printing needs.
Memorabilia can be preserved using Photo Mounting Corners or Photo Mounting Sleeves. Portrait Sleeve Pages can also be used.
