Our past helps define us. People afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease are essentially robbed of this past – their memories stolen by the disease. Creative Memories has partnered with Alzheimer’s organisations to fuel a passion we both share: preserving memories. Studies have shown that scrapbook-style photo albums enhance the well-being of Alzheimer’s sufferers by helping them to replay their lives and by helping their families reconnect with the past. Great strides are being made in the fight to conquer Alzheimer’s disease. It is now a matter of when – not if – a cure will be found. And when that cure is found, we will triumph.
